From Mimi’s Liner Notes

I wrote Sound the Alarm about five years ago in my basement studio. I had just bought a vintage Martin D-28 and used Nashville tuning with a capo and came up with the chord progression. The song is about helping those who can’t help themselves. Inspiration came from watching stupid media TV shows and the cameras that record our every move.  Some musical influences: Paul McCartney & Wings as well as Brian Wilson’s organ playing.
